Privacy Policy

Pryzmr ("the app", "we", "us") is an independent, unofficial companion app for Plex Media Server. This policy explains what information Pryzmr collects and how it's used.

What we collect

• Plex account information: your Plex username, email, and a Plex authentication token, obtained directly through Plex's official sign-in flow. Pryzmr never sees or stores your Plex password.
• Server information: your Plex server's name, connection URL, and unique server identifier, so the app can connect to and monitor your server.
• Activity and stream metadata: information about media playback on your server (e.g. what's playing, stream quality, timestamps) used to power monitoring and history features.
• Push notification tokens: used solely to deliver notifications you've opted into (e.g. request updates, security alerts).
• Account management data: for hosts, this includes member lists, membership status, and requests submitted by members/managers on your server.

What we don't collect

• We never see or store your Plex password. Authentication happens directly between your device and Plex.
• We do not collect payment information directly — any future paid subscription is processed by Apple's App Store billing, and Pryzmr never sees your card details.

How your data is used

Data is used solely to operate the app's features: connecting to your Plex server, displaying activity, managing members, delivering notifications, and enforcing account/membership settings you configure. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Where your data is stored

Data is stored in a Supabase-hosted database and processed by a background worker service. These are infrastructure providers, not third parties who use your data for their own purposes.

Data retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Children's privacy

Pryzmr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
